« on: June 10, 2004, 10:05:27 AM »
Is it possible to do this through a normal USB cable?

I have tried google but it just keeps giving me the ethernet stuff not really intrested as of yet.

The only thing i want to do are transfer memory card save games to and from etc..

Any ideas?

Thanks..

Actually I think before you open it, you are suppose to put it in the freezer.

I tried hooking my PS2 to my tv tuner card.  Worked, but the game very slow.

you need either max drive or xport

i\'ve got a xport and it works fine but you need to have your ps2 and pc close to each other as the cable supplied with it isn\'t very long, i ended up buying a longer usb a-b cable from a computer store

i\'ve not seen max drive so i don\'t know what it\'s like but as far as i know there\'s no cables needed

you can get both from http://www.codejunkies.com

I have one so I could get the 100% in GT3 and drive all those badass cars.  Can also back up game saves, it works great.

The one I have is called Sharkport and uses USB cables too.  GameShark stopped making these for some reason but like Steve said the X-port does it too.

xport sounds good, but what does it have apart from the USB cable? does it come with some software for the PC to understand the PS2 or is it just a USB cable and a cheat disk

I just tried PS2 - PC with a standard USB cable from the front port, no errors on behalf of unknown hardware but i think i need some type of software in order for the PC to operate with the PS2 :(

you get the xport dongle, 2 usb a-b cables to connect it to the pc and ps2 and 2 discs, one is the pc software and the other is for the ps2
