I\'m wondering if any of you guys have seen a soundcard that can encoded Dolby Digital (ac3) on the fly. I\'m currently using my mobos MCP-T (soundstorm) chipset to do this, but i would prefer a pci soundcard thats on par with the Audigy2 line that does encode DD in realtime....

None do.  You\'re stuck with nForce2 or Intel\'s 925x chipsets.

Thought so, Nvidia were meant to be releasing a card that does it... donno if thats still goin..  I may end up buying a new reciever to replace the one i\'m using.
