Screen Savers Hacking Challenge

http://www.g4techtv.com/screensavers/features/49952/The_Screen_Savers_Hack_Our_Box_Challenge.html

They basically get asked all these questions of how secure SP2 is so they are testing it.  They setup a PC with XP + SP2 with all the latest fixes and nothing but Windows own firewall turned on.  They even posted the IP on the wesite.

So far no one\'s broken in yet. :bounce:

Heh. Interesting. I wish i could hack. Id f*** that computer up. :p

But also if nobody is using it then its less open to be hacked correct? I mean theres no human error on the user because there is none. Then again any compitent user wouldnt be so stupid as to let people have access so easily.

How long has this been going on?

Well it\'s over now, here\'s their official statement:

"The "Hack Our Box Challenge" is now officially over due to the security risks it posed to us and to our ISP. Please don’t attempt to break in anymore. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for your interest."

Sounds to me like no one was able to break in, but their ISP was going crazy at all the nerds doing scans on the IP.  Hehe, neat.
