Excellent Baby Bryant article

Taken from Phil Jackson\'s book of course:

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2004/basketball/nba/10/12/jackson/index.html?cnn=yes

I\'m not an immense NBA fan but I found most of this extremely interesting.  This kid has been pampered waayyy too much throughout life and his attitude is killing his game.

Like I said, hes not a team player. Guess how many points he scored on his first game without Shaq yesterday? 35! The 2nd top scorer: 10. And he was 2nd string.

stop the kobe hating. The guys is the best player to come to the nba since jordan. The greatest players are always hated.

Everyone use to say jordan was a ball hog. He was not team player and blahh. They said the man would never win.  All the things that people say about kobe where once said about jordan.

Now everyone kisses jordans ass. Samething will become of kobe.

Up until this year, the guy wasn\'t even the best player on his team.

Just look who won ALL the finals MVP\'s.

As for Kobe vs. Jordan, Jordan always made his teammates better.  Kobe makes his worse.

And Kobe is a much worse player.  He needs to take a lot more shots to get his points than Jordan does.  In Jordan\'s best season, scoring wise, he shot liek 53%.  Kobe shoots like 42%

I like Kobe\'s skill but he seems to be such a drama queen.  Why can\'t he just play and do what he\'s told?

Not sure about you guys but Jordan NEVER came off as a whiney SOB to me.

Jordan did not always make his team better. Your wrong shocky. In his early days jordan was talked about and called a ball hog. They said he would never win.

It wasn\'t until jordan learned to trust his teammates he won his first championship. Before that the pistons use to whip the bulls ass all the time. And jordan was the guy on a loosing team putting up huge points.

First of all, Kobe is not the best player in the league. Maybe the most exciting, but not the best. KG, TD, and Shaq are better than him.

And dont give us bullshit comparisons between MJ and Kobe. Heres a good comparison. Who coached both players? The Zenmaster. But who made him decide to retire. Kobe....

Also, Jordan didn\'t push him teammates to the point of leaving.

Kobe hater? Yes. Not out of jealousy, based on character.

first of all jordan ran the bulls. He coached the team. Phil stood on the side an allowed Michael to do whatever he wanted. It was michael who decided to start passing the ball. It was michael who called for the ball all the time.

What makes kobe situation different is he is dealing with a equal superstar in shaq. None of the bulls where superstars but michael. They did whatever he said. They where his bitches.

Michael Jordan was a superstar ball hog. If he had to share the ball with another superstar oh boy I could only imagine what could have been happening on that team.

Look how he treated his teammates on the wizards. He said he would bench guys who would not feed him the ball. Michael has always been a glory hog. The fact that he was a winner everyone blows it off.

Once kobe starts winning more championship everyone will be kisssing his ass.

Dear lord. I\'m not having this debate again.

Stop Riding Kobe\'s crotch, Qud. It\'s pathetic. Seriously. The fact of the matter is is that he\'s a whiny baby who cried until he got his way, and was impossible to deal with. He alienated his teammates and his coach for his own personal gain, which makes him an asshole.

And with that, I\'m out of the thread. See Yuz.
What do Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Matt Clement, and Carlos Zambrano have in common?

They\'re the pieces to the next great pitching rotation of our time, what else?

GO CUBS!

But the fact is that Jordan DID get there, and Kobe has not.  That is not something you can even try to argue.

Kobe has been in the league for 8 years now.  Jordan\'s 8th season was 91-92.  Tell me he was making his team worse then.
