T-RPG\'s

What are your thoughts on tactical RPG\'s?
I mean games like Disgaea:Hour Of Darkness,La Pucelle:Tactics and recently Phantom Brave.

These games were all developed by Nippon-Ichi and have so far only been released in the U.S.A.

In these games you see the playing-field in a isometric view and you can move your characters anywhere on the field. After you complete your turn(move and attack) your turn ends and the enemy gets a change.

The customization is limitless because you can make as much characters as you want wich you can all level up.There are diiferent classes(like thief, mage, brawler etc.) and they all have different attacks.

These games have a big cult-following and the fans usually play it for over 120!! hours. The graphics consists of sprites and the whole thing has a 2-d feel to it.They also have an anime/manga type feel to them and that\'s a plus(in my book)

Do you enjoy these games(or have you never heard of them)?

P.S:I just read on a website that La Pucelle and Phantom Brave will be released in Europe!
Great news!

Well, I thought Disgaea was a broken game really and harped on those broken aspects as gameplay mechanics and thus I skipped it\'s two "sequals."

However, if it\'s strat RPG\'s you want, I recommend a GBASP and the following five titles for it:

Fire Emblem
Advance Wars
Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
Tactics Ogre and the Knight of Lodis

That should satiate your desires moreso then any title made by Nippon-Ichi.
Don\'t you ever touch my cape.

Yes,I know about those games for the GBA but i\'ved never been a real fan of handhelds.

It\'s not that I myself are a big fan of T-RPG\'s but because these games have such a HUGE following I just wanted to know what the general opinion was on this board.

Thanx for the reply Ryu.

And for others,if you don\'t know what I\'m talking about check out these links:
