All I know is that I\'m only buying one of the consoles at launch, either PS3 or x2.  These specs sound tasty though.

communicate ideas. The second is to conceal ideas. The
third is to conceal the absence of ideas.

yeah, i would like to see support of 1920 x 1080p with smooth 60 frames per second...
I hear the PS3 may even support 2560x2048...which is insane. But again...just speculation/rumors...

...this is why Nintendo needs to start spilling some info...as nobody is even talking about them. All I hear people talking about everywhere is about PS3 and XB2. Nobody seems to care about Nintendo. They better have some goodies up their sleeve (and not crack). Of course...nobody can be sure about any of the systems until more information is released. And this is all driving me mad :(

I thought we decided that a box of pop-tarts was the way to go.:p

If it weren\'t for the fact that XboxNext SDK\'s, not final mind you, have been out for a while now then we probably wouldn\'t know as much as we do.  Hopefully it will all be reveiled at the CES in January.

I believe Sony starts getting their SDK\'s out next month, with an official announcement following in February or March.  If Nintendo plans to keep up with the PS3 then you can probably expect them to have their SDK\'s out soon as well.

We both know that won\'t happen. MS is not that stupid, so why even say that?

hmm, i think that\'s a little overkill.

But i like flexibility so its okay to have that available but hidden on the option list for developers.

Because i can\'t see a reason to waste Video Ram size for a resolution of 2560x2048 which equal 5 million pixels since most hdtv are still in 1080i mode, as in 1080i interlaced, and i haven\'t seen a CRT hdtv with 1080p yet.  I read somewhere where some plasma have 1080p hdtv.  But it cost about $70,000.

And true 1920 x 1080p looks awesome already.  Its not like you can tell a difference if it goes higher than 1080p.

It would be amazing to see some low resolution 2-d games on NES/SNES/Genesis/psx days being redone in High Def of 2 million pixels widescreen with true 60 frames per second.:nerd:

Imagine Castlevania Symphony of the Night being redone in that resolution...:headbang:
