Best Download manager?
« on: December 09, 2004, 08:24:25 AM »
Can anyone recommend a good download manager? I just got reminded why I need one, I used FlashGet with the old computer, it worked fine after you had registered it, otherwise it was a portal for popups.

Im looking for other alternatives for this computer, the program should be ad-free, so no popups, a banner at the top of the window IS acceptable, only if it can be disabled by registering the program. ;)

Thanks in advance.

I use GetRight which Soulgrind also recommend.

I also use Download Accelerator but GetRight is better IMO.

If anyone is using an Apple PC, then Speed Download would be the best choice...

Thanks for the suggestions, I\'ll look into them now. :)

Samwise: Perhaps you are using an older version? When I first got FlashGet it only had an banner ad, but after getting the [then] latest version FlashGet made popups come up on the screen whenever the program was running.
