The Eagles didnt out play the Patriots.......

When you get held to 40 something TOTAL rushing yards, you did not out play your opponent. The Patriots ran the ball more effectively, and their defense dominated. The only reason McNabb had 350 passing yds and 3 tds is because he threw the ball 51 times! It\'s the exact reason why B.J Symmons from T.Tech had so many yard/tds. When you throw the ball 50+ times it\'s hard to be kept under 300 yds. McNabb also played horribly. All you have to do is watch him throw the ball to tell that, he never stepped up and set his feet. This led to a couple of interception/bad passes. The only thing the eagles did right was not get blown away on the defensive side of the ball. They did well considering how often they were on the field.

The game was more of a blow out that the score says.

The Eagles are a pass first run second team.  They do a lot of screen passing instead of straight runs.  The fact is, they had more total yards and more first downs.  How you get them doesn\'t matter, as long as you get them.

Looking at Westbrook\'s total yards is a better judgement of the effective running game they had.  Westbrook had 104 total yards, which isn\'t bad.  It\'s just that some of those will be marked off as passing yards because he got the ball on a screen rather than a handoff.  Hell, he and Corey Dillon put up almost the exact same number of total yards, and each had a score.

And if you\'re gonna say that the fact that the Eagles had more passing yards is meaningless because they passed more, couldn\'t I just as easily say the fact that the Pats had more rushing yards is meaningless because they ran the ball more?

The game was LESS of a blowout than the score says.

When you are -3 in the turnover differential, you did not outplay your opponent.  You played stupid.

As much as I hate New England, even I realized Philly had no chance. The team is simply not polished enough to go up against a two time champion like New England. Things like Mcnabb running backwards, getting sacked and losing yards is always going to kill your chance of winning when you are going up against a team like New England. Not to mention the poor time mangement on Philly\'s side. They wasted way to much time near the end of the game.

With that said, while I hate New england, congratulation\'s to the fans .
