my computer won\'t let me get rid of spyware...

I need major help, something has seriously fucked up my computer, as in with yahoo and google. Anything I type into a search engine the results are all for selling products or ring tones...even if its a persons name.


I go into add/remove programs and attempt to remove a bunch of it but it cays cannot find file and keeps it on the PC.

not to mention that every 10 minutes a "free xxx" icon pops up on my dektop, and when I try to delete them I can\'t...

I\'m seriously at my wits end and wanna fucking dropkick the tower.

Does anyone have any advice on what to do next?

btw I own spy sweeper from webroot wich does abolutly sweet fucking dick all.

yay, now my computer is running like a bag of fucking ass and i\'m getting C++ error messages, 1 more crash until I take a hammer to this piece of fucking shit.

you need to run your spyware programs in safe mode

a lot of those programs can\'t get rid of spyware that is currently running (especially browser hijackers)

"hijack this" is a great program to get rid of spyware and hijackers.  Be careful though, it\'s a really powerful program.  Make sure you know what you are deleting.

Excellent JBean!! its working, slowly but surely :D and i\'ve got spy sweeper and soulys 3 now in the PC.

MM next time the C++ error message pops up i\'ll write it down, i\'m also getting runtime library error messages too.

your computer sounds pretty jacked up

I wish I knew this when my PC was mysteriously  infected with the same shit.

I had to do a system restore/rollback(?) to get rid of it.
