pretty much exactly the same for me. I got confirmed just because..mainly for my mom because she kept saying i had to be confirmed to be married in a church.

But im not completely atheist. more..dont know enough to say yes or no (im not agnostic either). Because we dont know anything on earth (evolution is still a theory..one i back up but still only a theory, the universe is more than ginormous, they just found water on one of saturns moon (meaning theres a possibilty of microorganisms).

Kind of hard to explain..because part of me says there isnt a god because of the size of the universe, but also that i dont know sh*t so..who knows.

Viper, my mom was a CCD teacher. She taught my confirmation class. Then like 3 months later I was pretty much like "don\'t want any part of this anymore". She also I\'m sure wants me to get married in a church by a priest but depending on my wife\'s beliefs, I\'d like to just get married by a judge on like a beach or something. My mom is finally coming to peace with the fact I\'m atheist. She\'s crushed about it but she can\'t choose what I believe in.

And Gman, that would make sense for one reason. They get older, they face the idea of death more often and they have something to comfort them. It\'s a big difference in believing that when you die, there is something more and believing when you die, that your body simply rots away and that\'s all there is to it. The latter makes life seem almost pointless, as if there is no reason, where as with the first, you have something to work towards.

Either way, I\'m still agnostic. I have never seen anything to make me believe in a higher power or not believe in one. I simply don\'t care if there is one or not.

Religious people also tend to live longer than those who aren\'t. They\'re happier too. Heh!
