RC Cars

Been having fun with my new car.

Can\'t quite do this yet, but it\'s pretty cool.

Mine does close to 50 mph.  Although I doubt if I\'ve gotten it past 40 yet.  Little boogers are cool as shit.

Heh, back in the 80\'s I remember this rc car i had, battery powered not gas.

It was however the fastest non gas powered RC car of that time ; up to 38km/h.

So, one day it picked up quite some extra speed becuz of a wind gust. Then....all of a sudden it flipped over about 1 meter in mid air !

Nothing was broken, but when i inspected the rc car i noticed what caused it to flip over ; a 12 cm long solid steel nail

which went right through the plastic housing of the wheel axis and it missed the gearbox by a few cm\'s   I had to use a pair of pliers to pull out the nail.

It was odd, becuz the plastic was purely punctured, no cracks. This confirms, my rc car was doing some nifty speeding :thepimp:

I\'ve got a couple actually - mostly simple ones from Toys R\' Us, etc. Luckily they are cheap- so I dont care if they break. :)

They are actually really fun. We use to take them out on all kinds of terrain.

Nothing like driving a remote control car off a 100 foot cliff, only to watch it explode in a thousand pieces. :smokin:

Anyone remember the Mutator? It came out like 10 years ago and you can change the height of the front and rear wheels and make it a low rider, or back high, front low, the possiblities were imense. It was pretty cool and was quite quick (for a car from Toys R Us). I may just have to take it out again and drive it. I don\'t even know where it is anymore.

I was actually just looking for all of mine a minute ago. I found them all in a giant box.

The only thing is I dont have the recharger for the batteries. Probably the most important part

Finding a replacement charger shouldn\'t be too hard. eBay is your friend. Plus I\'m sure any hobby store has chargers that will work with your car.

My car is pretty darn fun.  Haven\'t taken any pictures of it yet.  THere are a lot of aftermarket parts for it too.  I bought an aluminum control arm for the front.  Looks nice.  I need to buy a couple shock supports, some longer shocks and some big pimpin wheels.

For now though, the thing hauls ass.  Just wish I could drive it here at home.  I have to take it out to my property to run it.

I\'ll take that as a compliment.  Cause gas cars are really fun.

So how\'s your hunter doing?

Don\'t know. I ditched him at 26.

My Paladin is doing fine though. Almost level 50 and climbing the PvP ranks... Well, as much as a Paladin can.
