The Truman Show
« on: March 23, 2013, 11:43:00 PM »
I remember seeing this movie 11 years ago in a classroom.  that time, i was so naive and i thought the story was pretty good.

but now that i think about it and i watched the trailer and bits and pieces of it.  i realize either way for truman, he still lives a lot satisfactory and fulfilling life than many people.  i read that he was raised up a happy, normal life.

another strange thing that i didn\'t think about back then that i thought about now is if the person that controlled him and everything, shouldn\'t he be able to control the boat or the ship that truman was on and steer it back to land?  if that person is powerful enough to control the sunlight, rain, wave, wind, etc.  shouldn\'t that person be able to control something so little like a boat or a ship and make it move back into land?

If I ever escaped from the Truman Show, I would immediately hunt down the people who put me there and cut their throats.
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

but if you live a life like truman does, would you really wanted to escape though?

he was brought up a normal, happy life.  he has a very financially secure job, a very nice house, a wife, and friends.  it doesn\'t seems like he has any problems with his life like heart attacks, got locked up for like a long time in jail or juvenile hall.   Or locked up in mental hospital for many and/or long time either.  he doesn\'t suffer chronic headaches, or other pain and suffering.

if you live a life like truman, again, would you really wanted to escape?
