NEED HELP with Extermination

I would like to know if someone can help me with the boss. I have tried everything there is to kill him and it just does not seem to work.

I am in the underground tunnel.Right beside the train, you must jump down and fight a boss that has the grenade launcher beside him. There is no where to hide. He hits you with his long arm or if you get to close he poisons you.

If someone knows what I am talking about, can you help me out.

i had this game. i got all the way to the end and couldn\'t defeat the last boss...ended up trading it in. decent game for what it was back then. some called it metal gear meets res-evil...but that couldn\'t be further from the truth....it was mostly an action game, not really scary at all...

But back then in 2000, this place was hopping.

Run down the stairs and collect the FILE near the train and
the RECOVERY UNIT A before dropping into the section with the boss creature.
After the cut scene quickly pick up the GRENADE LAUNCHER UNIT in front of you
and attach it to your SPR4 Assault Rifle. Avoid the tentacle by constantly
staying on the move stopping only to fire occasionally at the core of the boss
attached to the wall (It only shows itself for a few seconds at a time so make
your shots count). Don’t get to close to the part of the boss attached to the
wall or it will spew out green gas injuring you as well as raising infection.
Another attack to watch out for is the boss’ swinging attack which is only
avoided by staying pressed to the wall next to the boss’ core. After a long
fight the boss will eventually die and the security door will become
accessible.

Name - The Executioner
Description - A giant wall with a large arm that was mutated by the H1203
virus.
Attacks
1.   Sweeping Attack - The Executioner swings its arm from one side of the arena
to the other.  This attack is pretty easy to avoid as long as you run in the
opposite direction of the arm.
2.   Pounding Attack - This is a series of three pounds which can be easily
dodged by dodging the first pound, running in the opposite direction, dodging
the second the second attack, running in the opposite direction again, and then
dodging the third pound.
3.   Gas Attack - This attack only occurs after you attack the Executioner\'s core
with the knife or attack it at close range.  The Executioner will then release
poisonous gas which can be easily outran by running towards the wall opposite
the boss.
Normal Strategy - Dodge the Executioner\'s attacks (they are always in a random
order) until it stops attacking and reveals its core.  Runs towards the boss\'s
core and knife it with either two strong slashes or many weak slashes.  The
Executioner will then release poison gas that you can easily
outrun by running towards the wall opposite the boss. Continue this process and
after around forty or more slashes the boss will be dead. Watch out for the
small bugs that appear when the boss is near death.
Alternate Strategy - An easier but more risky strategy is to pick up the
Grenade Launcher from the dead man you see at the beginning of the battle and
equip it. Dodge all of the Executioner\'s attacks and when it reveals its core
fire a Grenade at it (Aim in first person view as third person view will
usually target the arm instead of the core). Firing a grenade at the
Executioner\'s core will do a lot more damage than knifing it but you will
probably run out of ammo quickly and will also take damage since the
Executioner is so close to you during the battle.
