21 launch titles for PlayStation 3 !

- Sony\'s Phil Harrison mentioned that running PS2 games on PS3 will have no visual enhancement; the same manner for PSone games. Sony plans to offer the entire library of PSone games through PlayStation online store, players can purchase the games online and play on PS3 and PSP, excluding games with licensing issues. Some of those hard to find titles like Motor Toon GP and Vib Ribbon will be available soon.

- Sony announced there will be 15 playable PS3 titles at the upcoming Akihabara Entamatsuri 2006 Festival, which takes place in Tokyo Japan between October 21 - 29, 2006, the games include:

- Sony announced there will be 21 launch titles for PlayStation 3 in North America on November 17, 2006.

- Sony announced the US version of PlayStation 3 will come with the following:

1 Sixaxis controller - 20 meters wireless range and 30 hours battery life on one charge
1 AC cord
1 USB mini-cable
1 Ethernet cable
1 Multi-AV cable - composite connectors
- The Sixaxis controllers will sell for $49.99; Memory card adapter for $14.99; and Blu-ray remote will be available in December for $24.99; and first party PS3 titles will sell for $59.99.

- The first 500,000 PlayStation 3 units will ship with a Blu-ray movie Talladege Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (Will Ferrell), which released one month ahead of its retail release.

- Sony\'s Phil Harrison revealed some future plans for PS3 and PSP:

Sony will begin to sell games, videos and music on the PlayStation Network, which can be downloaded and played on PS3.
In the next PSP firmware upgrade, you will be able to transfer PSone games from PS3 to PSP and play.
In future games offered online can be played on both PS3 and PSP.
PS3 is region-free, but PS2 is not, therefore Japanese PS2 games still won\'t run on American PS3
The next-gen EyeToy peripheral will appear early next year
The target age group for PS3 is between 20s and 30s.

- Sega announced that Virtua Tennis 3 for PS3 and Xbox 360 will have online support, up to 4 players can play online. Virtua Tennis 3 will be released in Q1 2007, for US$49.95.

- Electronic Arts confirmed that over 30 titles are under development for PlayStation 3.

didnt blazing angels fail enough for them not to make a second one?..

Pretty decent list, but the fact most of those games will be out for 360 for a while sets them back a little. Would be better if they released it right when the new sports games were coming out (august-ish) since everything else kind of came after that.

meters?  thats like 65 feet
why not cut that down to 20 feet and triple the battery life?

Now Im glad I can\'t buy the PS3 for another year... that launch lineup sucks hardcore

^ haha, just like PS2.  Marvel & RB6 are the only two catch my eye.  I know NFS Carbon will be entertaining but plunking down $60 for a race title I\'ll forget about in a month isn\'t worth it for me, right now anyway.  Ahhhh the joys of being broke.

NFS carbon sucks..its tokyo drift with horrible controls.

I dont think the list is THAT bad..granted there should probably be THE launch game like motorstorm, but oblivion, nba 2k7, madden, marvel, fear, fight night 3, resistance, R6..again, if u have the 360, you probably wont be buying any of those games since you already have them if you want them. But if you\'re new to next gen, ud probably be owning a number of those games.

Putting into account that 60 dollar games make most people buy less games than normal.

again with the way high expectations of MGS and games of that caliber just for the launch.

meh that line-up is kinda wack....the only game in that list that interests me is F.E.A.R.....and even tho i generally hate fps, that is one that seems to peak my interest,..but other than that?...i can wait for the intial price drop or wait for them to produce games that i\'m really interested in....*still no word on the next silent hill*...

Not a very good list. Titles that pick my interest from these but not necessarilly would buy are:

I d like to see the list of games that will be released a few days after launch because that list may be misleading

Not bad.. But I bet the Yuropean lineup launch will be the best of any console known to man. So many titles should be ready by march.
