Well, yea.

I purchased a PS3 recently and Wii at launch. I\'m set either way.

I wouldn\'t really say that.

I still prefer Devil May Cry\'s difficulty and gameplay mechanics. Though God of War 2 has so much more awesome battle scenarios.

i think the play mechanics in god of war is a bit better,...tho this is me going by the very first devil may cry which i thought was excellent....i still haven\'t picked up part three, because 2 was garbage.

Part three was good but in my opinion nowhere near as fun as the original DMC.   I played half of God of War  but never finished it because it wasn\'t my copy.  I might pick up the second one.  Anything story wise I\'d miss from the first one?

Personally I prefer DMC\'s and DMC3\'s mechanics. It gives you lots of combo possibilities to try. Especially 3.

It offers lots of flexibility to the player to try and connect various moves and combos. That was extremely evident with 3 where you could change weapons fast to connect their moves. The introduction of various styles added even more variety to the combos you can create and experiment with.

For example you can use your normal sword for the multi stabbing (the one where dante impales the enemy multible times), then instead of finishing it with the stinger, you might try the uppercut, jump with your enemy on the air, and use the double swords (I forgot their name) in mid air, then if you have the swordplay style you can use them as well in mid air.

as far as god of war goes...i\'d say you\'d definitely have to finish the first one to understand the ongoings in two,...even tho the way prt 2 starts off,it takes off right from the ending of the first one...the narrorator kinda brings you up to speed story wise, but i think you still need to finish the 1st one fully to understand it all.

GOW2\'s CGIs from the first GOW doesn\'t convey exactly why Kratos is the way he is. But then again, I\'m only half way through GOW2 so maybe it will reveal more precisely about his history from the first.

The first DMC was awesome.

2nd and third - boring.

I\'m not too excited although I am glad it\'s going multiplatform so I will have a chance to play it if it proves to be worthy.

By no means I find 3 boring. But hell 2 was a disaster. The worst game I ever bought for my PS2 probably.

I couldnt enjoy DMC2 no matter how much I forced me. I even unlocked the Dante must die  mode hoping it will get mor interesting. But I hated it even more! I wasted hours for nothing

I don\'t understand how there can be such a dip with the second game in a great 3-4 game series!

Didn\'t 2 get made by a different development team?  (I\'m just going to hope Blade wasn\'t being sarcastic)
