i dont think you need to hold the left stick down. You just guess with the left stick where the pitch is going, if by the time the pitcher starts his motion and the ball doesnt show up, that means u guessed wrong. But it doesnt affect ur hitting. Just if you get it right u know where the pitch is going.

Its definitly not easy. But like most games i have a feeling ill get used to it.

If i/you have to, they do have the classic controls where the batting is like MVP, but honestly, after using the hit stick its kind of boring.

The thing that iv found that works best is playing when you are in a \'take pitches\' kind of mood and to use the pull back and then push left/right/up when you have some strikes to take, but with 2 strikes to just use pull back and release.

I could be wrong but I thought you have to follow the pitch with the left stick also?

Like if it\'s low press down, if it\'s outside right, press right, all while swinging.

I know about the fact that before the pitch you point towards where you think the ball is but I was under the impression that the left stick is used for a before hunch and then the real pitch which you point it towards.

Again, I could be wrong. Maybe I\'ll rtfm

Pretty sure if u want the ball to left field (aka if its inside and ur right handed), you pull back on the right stick and roll it to the left/ roll it to the right for right field, and just let it go to hit it to center

Werd, I think you might be right I mean it sounds like it might make sense but theres no way to swing high and swing low?

Any of you guys have 2k7 for the ps3?  What\'s this I hear about you have to swing the whole controller or something?

that\'s automatic with it. To swing low and pop it up u push foreward after pulling back. And swing high/grounder/line drive with the other 3 ways

this game does piss me off sometimes, lol. Have u ever had one of those games where it seems like no matter how u time it, the controls feel clunky and you\'re always swinging late? I also wish they made the bunt a different button than the swing stick. Don\'t know how many times i went to crush a pitch and ended up making a late bunt and whiffing
