Damn....it\'s still fun! I used to think this was awesome graphics back then! Heh! Still an exciting game, though. $6 to download. :D

You\'re right about the graphics.  Early 3D games did NOT age well.

WipeoutXL is the best of the series.

You need to order it. Jeebus, it\'s 3 times better than the first one.

How\'s it look with the new upscaling at 1080p? I\'ve head some games look freaking sweet, others look shit.

Wipeout XL is most definitly the best game in the series.  Wipeout 3 was not too bad either, but XL was the pinical of the series.  Wipeout Fusion and even Wipeout Pure lacks in comparison.

2 things that I reckon needs to happen to bring back what once was:

1.) Get a seriously good sound track (or allow for custom sound tracks and attach your own cool music)

2.) Get Bizarre Creations back on the project.  That is one of the reasons why Project Gotham Racing is such a good game. (They did the awesome F1\'97 on PS1 as well)
A word of advice:

In the working world there is only two ships that sink: 1.) a Battle ship, and 2.) Partnership

Yeah man, XL was top notch. Hope this becomes available soon as a download.

Are you sure they also worked on Wipeout? I tried to find something but I didnt find anything.

I think its also the art direction, control system and camera work that need improvement. I love these in 1 and XL more than in any other arcade racer or other Wipeout game to date. I hope they bring Cold STorage back to the project as well as all the original tracks from 1 and XL in the next wipeout. I think they are going to show it at this year\'s E3.

Designers Republic did an AWESOME job with the game\'s style, art and design. They have to bring them back

i\'ve only played the original wipeout, and yes i think we all thought those graphics were great back then,...i always remember getting to the later levels of the game, and i couldn\'t get past it...:p....those later levels were extremely hard....you had to do almost flawless laps to beat it...

I was only 13 then and I could reach the last level. That was the only level I couldnt pass. The others I came first though.

If I remember correctly the easiest to control were the AG System and Feishar teams
