Madden vs Espn...

I\'ll admit after  watching some of the latest madden videos that it\'s gameplay is at least starting to show decent work, but three years later?....The only upgrade madden has done with the new tech so far was only graphical...but the animations looks to be improved somewhat,..regardless i still think espn has the edge here,..yes even with madden bein on the next gen systems....

Again i will say that madden this year shows alot of potential...i\'ve even noticed in that video that i didn\'t hear madden commentating after the play was called, but whether it\'s an edit or not, i still feel espn plays and feels more like real football, and they used the espn license to tha hilt...to this day the presentation still blows madden away.....it\'s taken madden three years to actually create a decent lookin\' football game so far, just look at sportscenter and the halftime show from espn,....that\'s tech is from three to four years ago and madden still doesn\'t have presentation representative of what you would actually see on tv....

i\'m rantin\' but still believe if it wasn\'t for that nfl deal..espn would be on it\'s way to makin\' a great product on the new systems...*and i know they have a generic football game comin\' out*, but to me it just won\'t be the same...

not up for watching the videos right now but iv decided to wait for madden 09 and play 07 this year..just update the important roster changes.

seems like 08 is going in the right direction with gang tackles and putting fantasy drafts back in, but with them starting to put stuff back in, i have a feeling 09 will be the way it should be. 07 is fun but still a very shallow game and expecting a complete turnaround in one season out of EA would be asking wayyy too much,lol.

and i like the stadiums for espn but i like playing as active players too much.

madden 06-07 was nothing more than a graphical upgrade....the animations and everything else was transferred over from last gen...

the lead blocking in 07 was a great addon to the series. Sounds miniscule since its just one little thing but its up there with the defensive audibles they put in that one year..which i guess is back in some ways in 08. heavnt read to much about it

i\'ve been a huge advocate of 2k.  In fact, I believe that NFL 2k5 is the best football game ever made next to Temco Super Bowl and Madden 04.  However, this year, Madden is actually impressing me somewhat.  As long as you can over look the crappy presentation, everything else is shaping up nicely.  I haven\'t bought a Madden since 04\' so I might actually pick this one up depending on the reviews.

Honestly, the only reason I have a console is for sports games... Mainly Madden.

I\'m playing alot of Tiger Woods and MLB 2k7 lately.

PS3\'s Madden, APF, and NCAA will run at 30FPS while their 360 counterparts will run at 60.  What gives?

does 1080p/i influence fps?

360 games say 1080i on the boxes but supposedly can do 1080p with the VGA cables..not really sure if that\'s true 1080p support like the ps3.

I\'ve heard mlb 2k7 has some frame problems too compared to the 360. 360 slows down a bit in the opening cut scene where they introduce a certain player before the game starts (has him warming up and stuff), but i heard it\'s still way worse on the ps3. not sure why but i\'d assume itll be fixed by the next group of sports games

1080p is twice as many pixels on the screen at any given time, over 1080i.

is the 360 game native 1080P or hardware upscaled?

I just heard a rumor that NCAA 08 for the PS3 is being delayed.... really delayed.... however it is just a rumor.  My source at OperationSports said that some guy at the Gamestop received an internal email saying that it was being pushed back.  If this is true and mean they are getting the PS3 versions to 60FPS, I will take the delay.
