What\'s My Rating? aka iPod help

Is there a way for me to transfer my ratings from my iPod to my computer on an UNsync\'d ipod?

I can\'t sync my ipod because it won\'t let me play the music with my laptop if it\'s sync\'d to my computer, but I\'d like my ratings to transfer to my desktop.  

I usually throw a 1 rating to shit I want to delete and then delete it.  But now I have a ton of crap on my computer that i\'d like to get rid of, but I need to transfer the ratings first so I can see what the garbage is.

Only thing I can think of is to wipe out my music on my computer and use back up software and move all the music from my ipod to the computer.  But id there is a better way, I\'m all ears.

Do you just wana transfer the music files, with the ratings, onto your computer?

well I really want to just import my ratings and have them attach to the music files on my itunes, but that ain\'t gonna happen.  I think I am stuck having to do a full file transfer of all of my ipod tunes to my computer\'s hard drive.  

It\'s still easier than looking through all the songs and deleteing the crappy ones frm scratch.

yeah, just taking everything off your ipod would be the quickest way.

I use it to help me delete shit I don\'t like.  It\'s easier to just capture a whole cd and just rate the ones I like with 1 star.  then go back and delete them. Well I\'ve deleted them all off my ipod, but now that I don\'t sync my ipod i\'d like to delete them off my pooter too.
