I\'m moving there in September. I was wondering if any of you guys lived there/ visited there, had any suggestions of places to go, stuff to do. That sort of thing

Hell of a lot better than Chicago.  But if you aren\'t into Nascar you are in a world of hurt.  At least you aren\'t moving to Charlotte.

yeah i dont like nascar, hate country, and dont go to church so its gonna be like a different planet for me. But as soon as i found out i was moving i realized how bad the chicago area is with crime and overpopulation and stuff
Im looking forward to seeing some hockey games, i\'ll most likely be 20 mins or so from the stadium and getting tickets shouldnt be a problem and the fact that wont be able to watch cubs games anymore might be a good thing

It\'s very pretty, still have seasons, but not ridiculously rough like Chicago.  Still have big city entertainment come through I would assume.  Roughest thing for me would be the whole southern bible belt thing and the NASCAR.  Very southern.  I don\'t care what you are saying and how bright you are, the second that southern twang comes out you sound like a dumb fuck.

won\'t luke be sad?
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

My company is "consolidating" so if i want to continue to be employed i have to move. But i get to keep my chicago salary and move to a place with about a 20% lower cost of living.

It\'s only 20% less?  I would assume it would be cheaper than that.
