Just wondering...How good is DOA2 on PS2
« on: December 24, 2000, 05:07:48 PM »
Have they actually put AA in to the game or not?
I remember reading months ago when everyone was comparing the Jap version with the DC version ,but I have not seen anyone compare DOA2:HC with the DC version .
I\'m not trying to start any flame threads , I\'m just interested .

I haven\'t heard anything bad about it.  I do hear that Tekken Tag is better, both are very good games though.

Yes, they have implemented some type of AA to certain objects. In other aspects, the Ps2 version has twice number of polys/character, better lightning and a bit more of details in the backgrounds. It has new levels( 15, 5 of them for tag combat), costumes, cutscenes and 2 hidden characters.
The only bad thing about it, it\'s a bit lower screen resolution than the DC version. A good game IMO, but it can\'t compete with TTT\'s gameplay.
Whatever

If you looking to show off true power of the PS2, and make your friends aww in amazement over graphics, go for DOA2:HC, I must give graphics and sound to DOA2:HC, but on the more important end of things, like Falgarok said, TTT\'s gameplay is top-notch, and over rules DOA2:HC\'s.

Thanks for the replies .   I\'ve already got TTT and that is an awesome game (owned the previous 2 on PSX)and is great fun when playing with 4 players .
I\'ve also got Timesplitters which is also super fun and SSX ,which I\'ve been really hanging out to play but cant as my PS2 was faulty and died while I was playing SSX and I could not eject the CD.
I got the console swapped over for a new one ,and the Faulty one was sent to Sony who were supposed to send my game back but haven\'t yet.
Wish they would get a move on .

I\'m certainly thinking about getting DOA2, as there isn\'t that much choice in games here in Australia yet , and I\'ve got plenty of spare cash to waste on games . ..

DOA2 on PS2 is a great game.

It looks awesome and I actually prefer it over Tekken Tag Tournament, which IMO is just a tad too much like Tekken 3. Both games are good, though.

Both the sound as well as the graphics are great.
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAPETIME!
