Anyone playing it? I picked it up  - so far it\'s great, minus the insane auto-save / loading, bright side the developer has already said that will be fixed next patch (sometime this month).

Great RPG  - first one I\'ve enjoyed since KoToR.  Hoping to finish it before Mass Effect comes out (wife is getting me that for our anniversary).:thumb:

Playing it myself aswell. Great RPG so far, the combat frustrated me at the start because I thought he was supposed to swing his sword everytime I clicked the mouse I didn\'t clue in I had to hold it down. Great opening video too. Also Triss is great in all her bouncy bossom glory.

You playing OST / Low Istrometric or High Istrometric?

I just picked it up the other night, after working seven days straight, almost at the end of chapter 1.

Playing on High Istrometric at  the moment. I\'ve just started it, not very far into it at all. I can\'t stop playing Call of Duty 4 at the moment. I was never a big fan of the call of duty games but this is one of the best shooters i\'ve played in a long time. The first level involves you escaping from a sinking ship and when it was over I just sat there with a big grin on my face. Insane effects, and then theres the level where the nuclear bomb goes off and countless other moments of "Damn thats pretty cool". Definately worth all the glowing reviews its getting IMO thats for sure and I haven\'t even touched the multiplayer yet.

As for the third game I bought to play which was Bioshock, that game is a lot more creepy than I figured it would be and its a fresh experience for me because my old PC couldn\'t even run the demo. But like The Witcher I haven\'t gotten into the meat of it yet because COD4 has devoured my first full day of gaming on this thing.

I may pick up CoD4, as for BioShock, it puts me to sleep. The demo even seems boring.

Okay I got 3 quests I can\'t seem to find answers for. All of them are in the Outskirts of Vizima.

2 of them are contracts I got from the notice board, one is for Drowners the other is for Ghouls I think. They both say I need a bestiary entry for them to be completed. I\'ve fought many Ghouls and many Drowners but still nothing and can\'t complete the quests.

The 3rd quest is to simply kill the beast to gain entry to the city. So where is the beast at? i\'m assuming the beast is that orange glowing dog who shows up and dissapears every once in awhile?

If I recall correctly..........

1: The entries for your journal you are looking for can be bought from a  seller at the INN. Go there sometime, find him and look at his wares and buy a few books. That is how I got mine.

2: The beast that you are suppose to kill is the main storyline for the first act. Do all the quests that the Priest gives you, along with the quests that they "witch" gives you and you\'ll progress the story, at the final part of the story, you\'ll encounter the beast. I recommend stocking on some potions, because that beast can be a pain in the ass without a potion.
