Why does the picture you posted kinda look like star wars? The space suits I mean.
Titan, are you ignorant of the great Gerry Anderson series Space: 1999 ?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space:_1999

The series was produced BEFORE Star Wars.  It was more of a hard science fiction setting, and not a fantasy like Star Wars.  You can still see numerous echoes of the far-reaching impact Gerry Anderson had on science fiction movies and television.  For example, in the current SciFi series "Battlestar Galactica," every episode begins with a title sequence, followed by a quick-cutting montage of shots from the current episode.  That montage was borrowed DIRECTLY from Gerry Anderson\'s structure on Space: 1999.

If you have a chance to view any of the two seasons of this series, please do so.  The production design, miniatures, and visual effects are still amazing even by today\'s standards.

Uh....I never said it wasn\'t produced after Star Wars. I merely asked a question. And plus, I\'m not 50 years old. There\'s no way I would have known about some old fucking toy from the 60s.

Dude I am 39 and Core is right Space 1999 was bad ass.  I also had a Diecast Eagle 1 ship too.

You also have to remember Titan in the year Space 1999 was on TV there was nothing - I mean nothing on TV that was even close to this.  It was not in the 1960\'s - it was in the 1970\'s 1975 -1977 to be exact.  Reruns of Star Trek were the closest thing to it.

Speaking of which - I really miss this toy.  Had hours of fun with it:

Best post apocalyptic war movie: Planet of the Apes.

I had the action figures of the apes and the greatest President of the United States: Charlton Heston. Bad ass.

Oh...and I had the Star Trek phaser gun. Had the sound and was a neat flashlight also. :D
