adds to the games for me. Rumbling when getting hit hard in madden, shooting the shotgun in mass effect. I\'d definitly rather have rumble if there was an option

I prefer the existence of rumble than not having it at all. But surprisingly none of my friends or I seemed to miss it when playing PS3 games, and I forgot all about it when playing 360 games as well. Some of them didnt even notice the absence of it until I told them it wasnt there due to a patent infringement with immersion.

Some games though do seem to need the rumble. Gran Turismo for example gives you information about the terrain and your control. The MGS games also used rumble creatively.

I\'m sure it is, they don\'t want to infringe on any more patents.

...Never saw the use for rumble, big giant gimmick if you ask me.  Only game i\'ve been told its worth a damn for is Rez.

If I am not mistaken they are using technology provided by Immersion for DS3.
