I think if the PS3 starts to catch up in sales, Microsoft should make the add on. It\'s obvious consumers like their system better, PS3 is selling because it can play the movies. So I\'d try to take that advantage away a bit.  Sony will get money for Blu-Ray discs either way, but at least it\'d help control the PS3 install base a bit...

Sony is in talks with movie companies to provide downloadable movies as well :)

They said that their service would be unique compared to other existing services. I am curious to see what they will have in store for us.

Btw I love the new Playstation Store. It is brilliant, userfriendly, functional and fast! Makes browsing enjoyable. Home integration and feature additions can make the Playstation Store a wonderful online service.
