Anyone who is born on US soil should not be labeled Mexican or any other nationality... unless your just here on vacation you have no claim to say you\'re mexican or black or white, you should just be American.

first, i agree if anybody wants to come to america, they need to come here legally.  If they qualify, wait for the paperworks to get done and then come here legally.  the wait could be a few years or longer.  but if they really want to come here, its worth the wait.

2nd, american is a nationality, not race nor ethnicity.  so, it\'s a free country, so  they can call themselves whatever they please.  In my experience, Italian Americans are more honest of their ethnicity than other European Americans.  In general, not only are they real of their ethnicity, but they make other race felt welcome and accepted in society.  that they belong here too because everybody come to america for the same reason which is freedom, and to live the American dream.

I am not saying other European American aren\'t as truthful of their ancestry ethnicity.  They are, but not all of them are.  I think Italian are more real and humble when it comes to interacting with other race that are not White/European.

Irish Americans are also truthful of their ethnicity too.  if I have to take a guess, I say 9/10 Irish are truthful of their ethnicity while 1/10 pretend to act like they are American or maybe pretend to be English descendant when they aren\'t.  Just because English is the primary language in America, doesn\'t mean all white people are english descendant.  Another difference is, English is also an ethnicity too while American is just a national which is not the same as ethnicity.

I can\'t say about French American though, since the ones I know are truthful to their ethnicity.

German Americans, this is where I think is half and half.  Like 50% of them are truthful to their ethnicity while the other pretended that they are just White or American or English.  Or another fancy term, Caucasian.  They acted like European aren\'t the same thing as White or Caucasian when in fact they are.  Some of them goes to the extreme and pretended like they are English descendant when they are not.  While the other half German Americans are honest of their ethnicity and don\'t segregate other race.


Some European Americans or White American are of mixed ethnicities, like a melting pot of some European ethnicities or mixed with a different ethnicity too.  Like they might have native american blood in them, or african, or asian blood in them.


Bottom line is, its a free country, and no one cares if a White American is faking their ethnicity as English even if they don\'t have any English blood in them just as long as they are not racist of other race, or discriminating some other race.  its okay.  Even if they segregate other race and don\'t unite other race as American, it\'s okay to me, just as long as they aren\'t racist.
