Small cars go big places in Smash Cars, the remote-controlled racer from TikGames and Creat Studios, coming later this year to the PlayStation Network.

Smash Cars is a follow up to Creat\'s 2003 PlayStation 2 game of the same name, featuring remote-controlled cars racing in real-world locations. This time around the action takes place on a beautiful and normally tranquil Mediterranean island, transformed into a race course by unruly RC car enthusiasts. Featuring realistic physics on a small scale, players must earn nitro boost by performing tricks and jumps in order to have their customizable car pass the finish line first.

Smash Cars will be shown at Sony\'s booth during the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco next week, with release planned for the second quarter of this year. Check out the rather large batch of initial screenshots below to see what happens when tiny cars attack.
