Black Friday
« on: November 23, 2010, 01:45:37 PM »
Anyone have good resources for stuff that will be discounted? I just see random shit scattered around the internet so I dunno what\'s real and what isnt.

One I heard is that toys r us has a buy one get one for $5..which would be bad ass since i\'d definitly bite on gran turismo for 60 and then hot pursuit for 5..but i dont know if its legit/when theyre opening (one ad says 10pm on thursday, which is a lot better for me than at the butt-crack of dawn)

Here\'s the ad: http://www.theblackfriday.com/ads/toysrusbf/toysrus-black-friday-ad28.shtml

I\'ve never gone out for black friday, mainly because there was never anything worth the hassle..but i might brave it this year. I have a feeling ill be able to park easily a little further from the stores and walk there...people are absolute retards with trying to park as close to the building as possible.

Is that buy one get one for five only for the games listed or for any game?....meh, i\'m not gonna be ready to do any shopping until mid december anyway...people need to watch out for those stick up kids that are lingering in store parking lots waiting for customers....

With folks out of work and the economy the wait is, you might see alot more robberies than what is usually seen this time of year.

This, I think most people have got a serious problem in the brain in Italy as well, they are ridiculous, turning and turning even 30 minutes to catch a park 50 meters closer to the building.

hollllyyy shiiiiiiit

I went to toys r us at 10pm thinking itd be pretty crowded, but i\'d just sit in my car, let the crazies go in and do their thing then swoop in and pick up nfs and gt.

But i got to the light near the store and saw like 8 people crossing the street (weird at that intersection at 10pm) so i was thinking \'this is not good\'.

There was a fricken line going from the opposite side of the ralphs next to the toys r us, going around the back of the entire grocery store (huge), crossing a mini-street, and hugging the side wall of toys r us till it got to the enterance. I ended up parking the furthest I could (was easy to park so its not like i sat in a line to get one), scoping it out and just thinking \'fuck it\' and heading back home.

I\'d never gone out on black friday..but do NOT underestimate how much people want to buy shit.

what depression?

Hope you\'re being sarcastic about the depression comment.

Drove through a lot of the black friday traffic, wanted to strangle a bitch after sitting in bumper to bumper traffic for an hour. Do people not realize that more than half those deals were online?
Wrong. There are two other people who can.

Our toys r us was insane.  We didn\'t go, but drove by at 8:30 thanksgiving night.  They opened at 10.  The line was insane.  Ridiculous.

We ended up going to walkway and bought everything I wanted to get Logan in all of twenty minutes.

This year we are going skiing, so most of our money is done gone.  But it\'s going to be hellafun.....
