That kid never wanted to fight anybody? You missed the whole point of the movie. The kid DIDN\'T want to fight but was forced to learn karate for defense. This is exactly what Mr. Miagi was teaching him. Unlike Cobra Kai. Sheesh, clips.
And you say the original sucked. Man...you crazy. Just coz he\'s not black. 
I get that he only wanted to use it as a last resort, but the dude was such a f**kin\' loser in the way he restrained himself from using it....he practically had to get his ass whooped before he did anything.
And let\'s not bring race INto this, just because i was "IN" your sister last night is no reason to resort to racial tactics...
Don\'t get me wrong, when i first heard they were remaking this movie, i too felt there was no need to remake the film...i still do, and the film will probably be corny, all i\'m sayin\' is that i just don\'t feel the trailer was as bad as some say.
