Xbox One console vs. PS4 console: Side by Side Comparison

the ps4 looks smaller than xbox one and more interesting.  Really impress that the ps4 is smaller than xbox One and rumored to be 50% more powerful than Xbox One.  Not only that, the xbox one power supply is external and yet its still bigger than ps4.  It does makes it feels like sony are a lot better at design than microsoft.

I went to the Microsoft Store last night to play it. Didn't play it because the employees of the store were more concerned about playing Forza than letting the customers try it. They had another one in a glass case on display (kinda tacky but it was cool to finally see it up close). It was smaller than I thought in the pictures (it looked kinda massive, lol) but looked like it was about the size of my PS3 slim, maybe a bit wider. The PS4 was definitely smaller though. The controller looked awkwardly build but supposedly its hella comfortable. Wouldn't know because again, the assholes employees of the Microsoft store were hogging their only Xbone.

Only thing I don't like about the PS4 is the back is also angled which makes the connectors a real pain in the butt in the back.  But it's not like you mess with the connections much.

The power on and disc eject are very cool.  Touch sensitive little sensors in the front along the little strip.  Took me a while and a 12 year old kid to figure that out.

personally i don't like the look of either of them. They look like VCRs. I prefer curves to shape edges on consoles.

Curves suck.  I'd much rather have something stackable.  HHS ps3 hump design was horrible for a rack.

Agreed. Its much easier in my setup to stack the consoles than with the design of the PS3.

personally i wouldn't stack anything on a current gen console.. or even under it.  They don't tend to be good at thermal dissipation.

I'll have enough room for one more next gen console. Have the spot for my PS4 picked out If I decide to get an Xbone down the road (which I'm open to. Depends on their exclusives), then I'm gonna have to either rearrange my setup or start stacking. Thankfully the Xbone is a rectangle so I can put it on top of my set top box and put my PS2 on top of the Xbox. Not like the PS2 takes up a lot of room
