Michael Bay got freak out at CES 2014 press conference

If you've ever been embarrassed by a moment of stage fright, find solace in the fact that at least you weren't Michael Bay at Samsung's CES 2014 press conference today....

...Almost just as quickly, Bay has responded. Taking to his blog, he explained the reason for his "meltdown," as the internet has described it.

"Wow! I just embarrassed myself at CES," the director writes. "I was about to speak for Samsung for this awesome Curved 105-inch UHD TV. I rarely lend my name to any products, but this one is just stellar. I got so excited to talk, that I skipped over the Exec VP’s intro line and then the teleprompter got lost. Then the prompter went up and down – then I walked off. I guess live shows aren’t my thing.

The TV does look spectacular. Doubt I'll have the thousands this thing will most likely cost. But games must look great on it

thought you will be interested more on what happened to michael bay than the tv.  lol.  kind of surprised you were more into the tv than michael bay freak out moment.

i am not a fan of lcd or led lcd display that much.  the tv does looks nice but its a led lcd instead of oled.  the good thing that i like that its a 21:9 aspect ratio tv, which is very closed to some movies that has that very wide aspect ratio (2.35:1).  21:9 is wider than 16:9, which is wider than 4:3 (aka 12:9).  another thing about this tv is i am not sure if i am sold into the curve screen instead of flatscreen.

I honestly didn't really care. And it wasn't really much of a freakout. I was expecting flailing his arms in the air screaming as he walked off or yelling at someone in the audience. He was supposed to follow a script. Skipped part of it then got lost through the teleprompter. He tried to recover but obviously he's not good at making things up on the spot. He's a director, not an actor. He got flustered and instead of making an ass of himself more, he walked off stage which is sure what most if not all of us here would have done.

I've enjoyed some of his movies. A lot of explosions but that is why I watched them, lol.

with all the conference focusing on 4K TVs.  Sony announced a 4K camcorder that can shoot 4K video at either 24 fps or 30 fps for $2,000.  the things that stand out for me on this 4K camcorder is the 1" image sensor.  Holy Mackerel, that is a very large sensor.  So expect the video to look very beautiful.
