How do you do recovery on dell windows 8 laptop?

My brother's laptop is infected with some sort of viruses that eat up cpu performances.  especially if we use firefox on it, we usually get ads pages instead.  so, how do you do dell repair or recovery on windows 8 laptop?

I think i installed fake adobe update pages that kind of look like real adobe pages and i got viruses from it.

thanks kurt angle.  i will looking more into that link you post.  i just read a bit of it and it seems really helpful.  i am using my own laptop now.  i will likely look more into it on my brother's laptop when i am at my mom's house maybe later today.

last night, i did a reset on windows 8 for my older brother's dell's laptop and its been working fine so far.
