Hi guys ... long time no see.


Sorry for the long hiatus, but my life has really been a long strange trip.

Since I last posted... I  have....

  • Spent 6 years working for a Oil and Gas Company ( I know after all the environmental views I have spouted).
  • Completed a Phd in Electrochemistry
    • Got Lost in World of Warcraft for 5 years (a huge part of the reaon why I disappeared...yes that game is evil)
    • Regained my fitness and have completed numerous 10k's, 4 half marathons, a full marathon, a tough mudder and a 249 mile cycle challenge.


    And now ... I work for BAE systems as one of their Senior Material Engineers.... that's right... I work for the British version of Tony Stark....

    Been working for BAE for the past 2 and a half years and have worked on some really good projects.

    Chief of them was this one, the 146M Project.

    Which took 2 civilian air freighters and converted them for military use (click linky).

    Currently focusing on a nice long summer..and a build-up to a brilliant holiday to Florence.

    Also I am primed and ready for all the new releases as I have a nice PS4.... PS3 (UltraSlim) and my Vita.


    Looking forward to the Destiny Beta .... and have a nice 4K Samsung Curved TV to enjoy it on.

    Anyway its great to be back, and look forward to get back to posting.

btw.  why curved tv?  i prefer flat.

I just preordered the white Destiny bundle. Not sure what it means yet for the Alpha. Hope I can jump on it in the meantime before it comes out.

At the moment, Sky have still to release their Project Ethan for 4k broadcasts.

But HD look stunning.

Discovery is starting a 4K network.  Long way out though.  But bandwidth for such a boutique channel will be very low.  Seems to me that until movies start getting mastered to it on blue ray you are really going to be just too compressed to get the wow factor we get when actually shooting it.

I don't even get good HD from my cable provider. Can't imagine how bad they'll fuck it up with 4K.
