Woman Buys PS4 To Find Two Bibles Inside the Box

It’s a classic gift-giving tactic—hiding a present in the box belonging to a different item. But for one couple in Delano, CA, this surprise wasn’t planned.

Sandra Ortiz couldn’t wait for her boyfriend to unwrap the PlayStation 4 she bought him for Christmas. But, as it turns out, the shocked expression she expected to see on his face, ended up on hers as well.

The cardboard box meant to be holding the expensive gaming console was actually concealing two bibles. “We have a problem,” her boyfriend said. While the rest of their family got a kick out of the situation, Ortiz says she was embarrassed and didn’t know what to do, feeling like she ruined Christmas. Her boyfriend, who already owned a bible, laughed off the ordeal by saying he didn’t want the bibles “unless they were autographed by Jesus himself.”

All jokes aside, Ortiz wasn’t sure how the local Target store where she purchased the item would react to her story. Fortunately, the store was understanding and even said that this kind of thing is more common than you would think. They told the couple that they recently had another case where a PlayStation was swapped out for a stack of paper. Currently, there are no leads on who might be responsible for the crime.

Now Ortiz has learned a valuable lesson, and recommends that you check the box before making an expensive purchase. Still, she’s taking the surprise as a positive sign, hoping that maybe she’ll be blessed in the New Year.

That is sad but funny.  A person commented on the link said that she wanted a play station (for her boyfrined).  instead, she got a pray station.  lol.

The good news is that target believes her and exchange her a real playstation 4.
