EA Signs Avalanche for PS2 Project
« on: December 16, 2000, 05:54:57 PM »
Midway\'s former left-hand-man developer begins new PlayStation 2 project with EA.

December 15, 2000

IGNPS2 learned today that Avalanche Software is in development with a PlayStation 2 project to be published by Electronic Arts.
According to Avalanche\'s Website, the company is creating a totally original game for EA, something of a surprise coming from the king of franchises. "...And now we are working on our first original PlayStation 2 tile for Electronic Arts," the site reads.

The Avalanche team has worked on many games in the past, almost all of them for Midway. The collective team effort includes games such as Mortal Kombat Trilogy (PS), 2 on 2 Open Ice Challenge (PS), Mortal Kombat Mythologies Sub-Zero, Off-Road Challenge (N64), NBA Showtime NBA on NBC (Dreamcast), Rampage Through Time (PS), Rampage Universal Tour (N64), NFL Blitz 2001 (Dreamcast), Arabian Nights: Prince of Persia (Dreamcast), Rugrats in Paris: The Movie (PS, N64).

Avalanche is also working on an action/RPG title, which may not have a publisher as of yet. The site reads, "We are also creating a completely original game in the Action/RPG genre."

When contacted, EA representatives said that they were not aware of any current deal with Avalanche Software, despite with the developer\'s site reads.

We\'ll have more on Avalanche\'s endeavors in the near future.

SyxxKorn. Do you have a problem with remembering stuff? Or did you just choose to ignore all the protests against your spamming (oops, \'news\')? I seem to remember a couple of days ago (five to be precise) were you said in a reply that I should have sent you a PM, then there wouldn\'t be a problem. Well, I didn\'t, but I figured you\'d stop after that. Doh, how silly of me.

*hint* Stop spamming, we can go to IGN for ourselves *hint*
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAPETIME!

Ok, but I only posted a few yesterday, what\'s the big deal, I\'d rather hear peoples opinions on the articles. (and no this is not spamming, it has a purpose, so ha!)
