Hisense Enters Big-Screen Fray with 98” & 110” 4K TVsHisense, the Chinese brand best known in AV circles for its ultra-short-throw “laser TV” video-projection systems, is trumpeting a pair of ultra-big-screen televisions at CES 2024.Hailed as TVs that deliver the “most innovative technology at an exceptional value,” the new 98-inch 98UX and 110-inch 110UX (shown) are the top two models in the company’s flagship ULED X series of mini-LED backlit LCD TVs.Both boast impressive performance specs, with the 98UX featuring 10,000 local dimming zones and a peak brightness rating of 5,000 nits — nearly twice that of its predecessor — on a screen 7-feet wide and 4-feet tall. The TV also boasts a native refresh rate of 144 Hz and a 4.2.2-channel sound system with Dolby Atmos surround processing. To boost brightness even more, the 110UX relies on 20,000 high-output mini-LED dimming zones to achieve a peak brightness rating of 10,000 nits on a screen almost 8-feet across and 4.5-feet tall. In addition to the impressive brightness spec and improved contrast, the TV is said to cover 95% of the BT.2020 color space, an achievement Hisense attributes to the use of new panel materials and “more advanced quantum-dot technology.”The 110UX’s screen is designed to accommodate wide viewing angles and incorporates an anti-glare film with a 1.28% reflectance rate to reduce ambient light reflection and wash-out, while minimizing halos and shifts in color. The culmination of more than a decade of research and development, ULED X represents Hisense’s best picture quality and uses active intelligent backlight control to minimize backlight leakage, while “measurably elevating” contrast and enhancing dynamic range. The series also incorporates quantum-dot technology for enhanced color and Hisense’s Hi-View Engine X chipset, which uses artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze individual scenes and make on-the-fly adjustments to improve image clarity, depth, and contrast...
World's First 4K Wireless Transparent TVMassive TV walls have been a CES staple for decades but LG took the concept to a new level at CES 2024 with a towering display comprising 20 of its Signature OLED R Transparent TVs in motion. Watch as the array of screens transitions from a vibrant parade of color to a gargantuan multipane “window” revealing the other side of LG’s exhibit. One of the show’s most dazzling visuals for sure but we couldn’t help but notice that the bottom row of OLED panels is a bit wonky. Even so, it’s still spectacular.//www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GMUtuLftDM
