Sound questions!

Hey all!

My problem is this:

I have the option of either hooking up my PS2 through either the VCR with the AV cables, or going straight through the TV with the cable-hookup thingy.

The problem is, my VCR only has one video and one audio input, so the second audio input is useless, hence no stereo sound.

Well, when I put it through the TV in the cable hookup, I STILL don\'t get stereo sound, although my TV is capable of it.

What the hell do I have to do besides getting a new TV/VCR to get some stereo around here??  HUH??  WELLLLL???

You have a TV that is stereo, but does NOT have RCA ins?  That\'s odd man.  Anyway, you should be using a stereo reciever, not going through your VCR to the TV.  Go to a garage sale and get one for $5 if you have to (make sure it has aux ins).

Just hook up the RCA audio ins into a stereo reciever, bypassing the vcr and tv audio...that\'s what I did.

Whoa, just hooked it up to even the crappy old stereo I have, what a difference!

Now I gotta get a good one!

Yeah, in the old days with the Nintendo and Genesis almost any kind of stereo would do, but games have gotten MUCH BETTER SOUNDING since then.  Enough to make you want to upgrade even!
