The new Console

hmm I think  new console should have a remote that comes with it so you could be playing a game in bed and you decide you wanna go to bed.  Instead of getting up you could use the remote to turn it off. yeah that would be sweet.  Don\'t get me wrong though I\'m not some overweight lazy guy(no offense to anyone) it\'s just sometimes I just don\'t wanna get up.  My room....ugh I need to clean up.  anyway why doesn\'t everyone say what they want for a new console like backward compatability and all that.  On a side not no one is ever satasifed with what they got ohh no blah Xbox lowered this. Psx2 can\'t play this PSX1 games well screw you guys it plays 95 % of them(I think anyway)  Just be happy and what they CAN do not what they CAN\'T.  I know I am sorta focusing on what these things don\'t have.  but just wondering what everyone wants with their own system if they could.
War is hell.....But only if it\'s done right

no, i wouldn\'t be tu sure of that, around 99.9% psx games work on ps2 (considering how many there are!), here\'s the list of games that don\'t work:

-Arcade Party Pak - Midway
-Arcade Greatest Hits/Atari 2 - Midway
-Fighter Maker - Agetec
-Final Fantasy Anthology - Square EA
-Judge Dredd - Activision
-Monkey Hero - Take 2
-Mortal Kombat Trilogy - Midway
-Tomba! - SCEA
-International Track and Field - Konami

Hey Coyote, you can buy a remote for a PS2. It controls the DVD and you can play games using it. Those morons at cloudchaser would feel stupid reading what you posted. It really works good too (takes a little to get used to).

I can just see it now, I\'ve just beaten a realy tough boss, its taken me many tries and countless hours. The closest save palce is a while back but I\'ve finaly beaten it. I get up and do a little victory dance then flump back into my chair and bam, the remeote control had slipped under the couchon and I just sat on it which hit the power button. The system turns off and I lose my data so I have to do it all over again. Or try this situation, same thing with the game exept someone else walks into the room and mistakes the remote for something else like a CD palyer remote or something and hits the power button to turn on some tunes.  There is a reason the only place to turn off the system is on the system itself, remote controles ahve been around as long as consoles, the companies have allready thought all this through.

So be careful about it retard. If you get far in a game, I dont think you\'ll leave it lying around to do whatever you want. You\'d try saving it before anything.

As for the victory dance, I\'m hopingyour the ony one who does that (unless theres other homos on here).

Who\'d b a dumb**** and sit on the remote? C\'mon now.

Also, the PS2 remote is for DVD (but can be used on games), that deactivates the DVD buttons. As for the power button, you gotta watch out for that. But wait, check this out:

What you said, Underwhelming, is the same as someone beating a hard boss in a game and doing a victory dance
(i guess) and accidentally you step on the power button. It\'s the same thing.

This is why I hardly like this forum, your all too easy.

I think remote control wich could shut the power off from your PS2 would be a good idea. Mostly I play at late nights from my bed and I truly hate to stand up and snap the power off. I\'m not a lazy guy either nor fat but I\'m usually so tired that Ps2 ALMOSt leaves on. Still I gather all the powers left in my body and stand up and tap the power-button.

This manouver could be avoided by a good remoter.

Is there ( on the DVD -PS2 -remotes ) a power-button or only the DVD-playback buttons? ( besides I think the joypad does the work fine )
