Question...
« Reply #15 on: December 04, 2000, 10:22:08 AM »

Videoholic:

A friend of mine just emailed me and said that the docs for the PS2 say it "may cause harm to projection TVs". Is this true? I don\'t have access to my book right now. I was hoping to hook it up to my projection unit as well.

Thanks!

I think projection units are more suseptable to burn in, but for a normal human being you won\'t have a problem since you won\'t be playing the same game 24 hours a day for months straight.  I think years ago that was definitely the case, but I don\'t know.  I\'ve had mine hooked up to playstation for a couple years now and I haven\'t had a problem at all.

Oh, the problem could be with burn-in! That makes sense. Sounds like Sony threw that in there as a CYA disclaimer just in case some dodo-brain left the PS2 turned on for months, sitting on the same screen the whole time.

Glad to know you didn\'t have any problems.  :)

What up peeps? I got my PS2, DVD player, Dreamcast, and 5.1 surround system all nestled nicely under my 32" TV, in one of those cabinets. Its nice! Nothing like jacking up the sound and playing Madden 2001 with surround sound! Who agrees?

the bottom one is of course the US PS2 or the UK PS2..i dont know where he is located so i wouldnt know..

I\'m guessing hes in the UK since his Dreamcast has a BLUE swirl on it and not a red. But that also means he could be in Austrailia. Who knows :D
