Hehe i nearly completled midnight club, but yeah i agree it aint straight forward what to do, but ill explain it here.
Basically in New York you have 3 hookman, Larry, Eilimo and that women.
You catch up to them and they agree to race, that gives you ONE check point race. If you beat that check point race you gain that race for the arcade mode.
Once winning they race they will give you there number and you can race them individually and gain all there cars.
To progress you need to do the following.
Follow all 3 hook men, 3 times to compete in 3 CHECK POINT races againest them making about 9 races in total.
Also you will want to ring them up privatly a few times to gain there cars.
Once you have got all there cars it wont let yuou ring them, and once you have beaten them about 3 times in the different check point racers they will diappear from the map.
Then once each hookman has been beaten for his cars and his check point racers then a forth hookman comes onto the scene, the CITY CHAMP.
Like the others, you follow him around the city and then race him, once you have beaten him you move onto London and repeat the process for there hookman.
