How Can You Call The GameCube Kiddy When.......
« on: January 03, 2001, 10:49:57 AM »
I have seen that many of you have been callingthe GameCube Kiddy and i want to know why.Is it because of the games that were on the n64 (which i think is a dumb reason considering the lack of 3rd parties that nintendo was having) at least they didn\'t abandon there system like Sega
did. With the GameCube it is a different story many of the problems that the N64 faced have been removed ( Carts, and hard architecture).
With the following games Rumored or planning on being launch titles i see no reason for the GameCube to be a Kiddy console (as you people call it)

Mario/Luigi
Thornado
Too Human
Retro Football
Retro Racing
Retro Fantasy Rpg
WaveRace
Perfect Dark 2
RogueSquadron 2
Kobe Bryant Basketball
Retro\'s First Person Shooter
These games are just from 1st and 2nd Parties. Then add the was coming from 3rd Parties:
ResidentEvil Zero
SSX:Special Edition
With all these Killer Apps at Launch this could be the best launch in history. I didn\'t say profitable but Gameplay wise.

Sega did not abandon there system. I t had not sold enough systems to become self-sufficient of sega alone. Nintendo\'s 64 had immediate success. Saturn barely climbed over 1 million in 3 years. N64 had 350,000 in 3 days. Sega did not abandon the Saturn, they did what was smart for the company, if they kept going, they would be only more poor and would have gotten even less visible with DC than with the Saturn. It was the smartest move they did with the saturn. If it sold about 3 million, I highly doubt that they would\'ve dropped it, more like just fade out Saturn and fade in DC.

And Gamecube will have kiddy games, do not be delusional. Even Sega\'s mighty uncensored beasts have fallen prey to babrie games.

A funny gesture.

gamecube will be the **** true enough there are kiddy games but not a kiddie system. Even the kiddy games are fun anyways. Im sure they will make a new mario kart. And there no way a young kid will finish any of the zelda games.

GameCube will have kiddie games but the point is it will have less kiddie games than the N64.There will be a lot of titles aimed at the older generation throught out the life of the NGC,sure there will be the occasional Mario or Pokemon but there still will be great games, and thats what count.
