Need advice for Madden
« on: February 02, 2001, 08:01:52 PM »
I don\'t know if any of you still play this, but I for the life of me cannot slow down the computer\'s passing attack.  Don\'t get me wrong, I always win anyway, but the score is usually 52-46 or something like that.  I had 5-6 games in a row where the computer QB threw for over 500 yards.
I have tried everything.  I have guy with at least a 90 rating at each position, and I can\'t generate a pass rush, or pick off a pass.
Any hints, techniques, or ideas?  Please help before another 74 rated QB throws 5 tds.

you new at it??
I can get up to 112-0 vs the comp (no pnalties).

All I do is turn off penalties use The All Madden Super Bowl Team wich I unlocked and alot of the other all madden teams. Then I can get a touchdown practicly ever play. Then I do a feild goal onside kick.

I usually get about 500-600 madden points so far Ive unlocked:

1973-1999 all madden teams
Maddenstein stadium
superbowl XXXVll stadium (saints)
tiberon stadium
The marshals (guys that have cowboy suits on)
Ecko (celberties including Jamie Foxx)
John Elway
Alot of historic players
Suger buzz stadium wich is a cereal bowl and when your guys run in it milk splashes up.

I think the best card I ve unlocked so far are the marshalls their stats are 99,97,99,99 and 99

The all madden superbowl teams stats are 99 for all
1.FF7
  2. Grandia
  3. MGS
Is it me? Or does PSone own all the other systems?

Thanks.  I\'m not new at this.  I don\'t play with those super teams.  I use the Saints.  And how does this help me play defense?

Did you go to Settings Mode while playing the game? You can change the cpu and your team attributes such as increasing interceptions, better passing, tighter defende. See, if you don\'t change it, it\'s only at 50 out of 100. I did this and my defense doesn\'t give up the long play, but regardless, the cpu\'s offense is good.

A good way to pick off passes is to take control of the FS. This is the funnest position to play in the game. What you do is highlight him, and when the cpu goes back to pass head toward there main WR, the Cpu throws to him the most. If you make a good break at the ball, press the triangle button to put up your hands to intercept it. Although if you make a bad break at the ball and the ball gets by you, it\'ll be six for the other team.

buy nfl2k1 that\'ll fix everything.
to there are ways to give the illusion of AA,without having to take cuts in performance, and some developers are are taking advantage of themhowever ,until SOny comes up with a specific and easy ways to implement true AA that dosent take major hits on performance, you probably wont be seeing a huge number of games take advantage of it.

Try to let the cpu control your defender until the last second then jump with the triangle and try to grab it.
If you miss and he gets by you just HOLD DOWN the circle button when chasing him. You can usually catch him before he scores. If you do not hold down the circle, you will NEVER catch him.
