http://www.americas.creative.com/speakers/desktop-theater-3500/

I\'m getting that sound system for my room(mainly for PS2), and even though it cost as much as a PS2, I really need a sound system.  I mean I got everything else for my PS2, a Sony WEGA, Monster Cables, Verticle Stand, Memory Card, Games... this would put the finishing touches on it.

The reason I posted this is to see if you guys thought there was a better one out, lemme know if there is.

hey don\'t waste your maoney on something that is for your PC

for 300 bucks you can get a surroud system that will bush more wattage and it comes for a reciever and everything so you can hook it up to your sterao and VCR and about 4 other things besides those - go check out AIWA/Sony/Yamaha - trust me they are a much better buy whe it somes to having full 6 piece surround sound - i will have to find a site and show you what they look like

Thanks, I\'ll check those out, but I want to be sure it\'s compatible with PS2 as the Creative ones state.  BTW, I think the Creative ones are pretty sharp looking, and they aint that bad, plus It says right there for PS2 console.

Every one of those is compatible for it and they even have a certain equalizer feature to make the sound better and clearer when you are playing games

yea all you need is a reciever with an optical fiber cable hook up on the back and almost all hoe theater recievers have these

so just make sure that they do and you are good to go

Thanks, but I think the creative one will suit me fine, it\'s their top of the line, the best they got... my next best would be to go right to Sony themselves, I will check that out tonight.

The packages recommended above are all part of one big set that you purchase all together.

You are overpaying for that Creative speaker set, but like others on this thread said; It\'s your money.  If you want fuller sound take a step up and buy a system meant for home theater use and not for low wattage multimedia associated with a computer.

BUT, if you are planning on using this in a pretty tight space, I see the desire to purchase the Creative 3500.  It\'s small and looks fairly easy to use, not to mention it\'s better than the 2 speakers inside your TV.  Just keep in mind that system has no DTS decoding for DTS encoded DVDs...

most recievers have an amp inside of them to boost up your speaker wattage - that is why some stereos can push speakers louder than others

those speakers that come with the reciver are designed to recieve proper ampage and will in turn sound great

just trust me i have a little creative system hooked up to my tv - and while it sounds good - it doesn\'t sound great

the systems i listed i have heard first hand and they sound very good and they are not expensive - well the JVC is but it is overpriced and you can find some cheaper
