Thanks to http://ps2.ign.com for the information

Wipeout Fusion takes a nosedive? Interplay ready to roll! Skiing anyone? Medal of Honor for PS2.

February 9, 2001

Stop. You have reached the videogame industry\'s black listed, off limits alleyway. Don\'t go any further unless you\'re prepared to read unofficial, perhaps... classified information. Here in Off the Record, we print the kinds of things your journalism teacher told you never to put down on paper. The stories, gossip and innuendo that never appear in a press release, but are nonetheless are said in conversation (perhaps late night under the influence of a wee bit of alcohol), or the words spoken behind closed doors, or a company\'s new strategy that\'s so obvious that we simply couldn\'t resist -- this is what you\'ll find in Off the Record.
Wipeout Fusion Delayed in Europe
A recent report from our friends in Europe point to a potential bomb ready to go off internally at Studios Liverpool, where Wipeout Fusion is in development. Apparently, the poop has hit the fan, and crew members are leaving the team for another project. The reports weren\'t as to why a handful of people left the Wipeout team and ended up on The Getaway team at Studio London, so it could be anarchy, but it may be a purposely managed switch members from one team to another for practical purposes. Either way, it looks like the game is delayed until Fall in Europe, and here in the US, it hasn\'t even been announced! Hurry SCEA, what\'s the delay?

Interplay\'s Black Isle Ready to Burst With Goodness
Interplay is about to announce something big in the next week, and we\'re pretty darn sure that it has to do with Baldur\'s Gate. Black Isle is involved and we know that the team is definitely working on a PlayStation 2 version of the role-playing game Balder\'s Gate. We\'ll let you know next week!

Ready to Ski?
The infamous Redwood City, Ca. company that hasn\'t created a new concept in what seems like years has done just that. The 3DO Company appears to be going out on a limb to create a NEW game -- Oh my God! A new game! That\'s right, games that are new do come from 3DO, they\'re not all Army Men, WDL, and Might and Magic titles.... OK, 99% of them are, but hey... Anyway, 3DO is going to bring Jonny Moseley Freestyle Skier to PS2, and one of the best designers of the company is working on it.

Medal of Honor Frontline
While EA proper hasn\'t returned our phone calls about Medal of Honor for PlayStation 2, we all know it\'s in the works, thanks to a funny little job ad that they posted about a year ago. Well, now IGN was able to confirm that the name of the game is Medal of Honor Frontline, and that it\'s going to be, um, really, erm, er uh, Cool! Yeah, that\'s it, the game will be cool. At least you now know the name, though...
