Women\'s tennis is hot and Konami\'s got the license!
« on: February 14, 2001, 11:49:36 PM »
Right now professional women\'s tennis is truly the most exciting it\'s been, and perhaps ever in the history of the sport. The top tier of women playing are incredible athletes, and even players such as Jennifer Capriati, who recently made a major comeback are bringing even more unpredictability and excitement the sport. After the incredible effort on Sega\'s part with Virtua Tennis on Dreamcast, Konami secured the rights to the Women\'s Tennis Association last fall for WTA Tour Tennis!
The license Konami landed includes top players such as number one seeded Martina Hingis, Lindsay Davenport, Ai Sugiyama, Serena Williams, and Monica Seles, among others. Unfortunately, perhaps the sexiest woman tennis player, Anna Kournikova, is not part of the licensing deal. Darn!
WTA Tour Tennis includes a single and a four-player mode, and from the looks of it the camera angles and the size of the players is rather traditional.

Virtua Tennis 2 has the Williams sisters, more pro mens players, some other women and... yes Anna Kourniva. Sorry Konami, but VT2, complete with online play, will rule supreme!

Anna Kournikova, yep.

Got to agree with AlteredBeast there.VT2 is the perfect tennis game IMO.And with online play something Konami\'s might not have VT2 is a winner.
Gameplay wise the game rocks as well as the graphics.
(No offense there gals)But I dont like the aspect of having only female tennis players.A mix of male and female tennis players is more preferable.

So far Virtua Tennis 2 is the one to look out for.

Even Virtua Tennis 1 in IMO looks better than the Ps2\'s first Tennis Game.

Cough "Sega release a version for the ps2" Cough !
I met him 15 years ago, I was told there was nothing left, no reason, no concious, no understanding and even the most rudamentory sense of life or death, good or evil, right or wrong, I met this 6 year old child with this blang pale emotionless face and, the blackest eyes, the devils eyes, I spent 8 years trying to reach him, and then another 7 trying to keep him locked up because I realised what was living behind that boys eyes was purly and simply evil.
