Nobuo Uematsu may not be as readily recognized as Hideo Kojima, but that’s because this master of his art works behind the curtain. Having produced numerous soundtracks for the Final Fantasy series, Uematsu-san is a veteran to the music world and will be taking his next hit to another level. For the first time special sound effects will be implemented into a Final Fantasy game, chief among them the fading of sound during character speech in order to avoid impairing the gamers ability to hear key points of the story! It’s funny how such a simple thing as sound and music can be forgotten about in the grand scheme of things, yet without them the game would have a very empty and incomplete feeling. Cheers Nobuo, keep up the good work!

AND IT\'S PERSONAL
Demon: No… the legendary Sparda!?
Dante: You\'re right, but I\'m his son Dante!

Interesting. But expected.

Musics in Final Fantasy serie have always been wonderful; \'candy to your ears\' so to speak. I\'ve loved them and will love. There\'s moments you almost cry, moments you laugh, moments you feel amazed... And that\'s pretty much because of the musics.

Think of a very scary horror-film ( Exorcist for example ). First imagine it with musics and sound-effects... *suddenly has to look all around for mirrors.. DEMONS!!!* ...and then without. What a dull experience. Experiment this. Take the scariest horror-film in your house, or rent one you haven\'t seen so the factor will be even higher.

Put volume to zero.

The atmosphere fades down to zero as well with the musics. Same thing goes with games. Final Fantasy VIII could be played without music ( as a horror-film watched without volume ) and effects, but it\'d be far less greater experience, nor experience at all.

Musics create a lot in games and movies. The dida-dida-dida-dida-DIDA-DIDA \'thingy in Jaws we all know add to the atmosphere lot.

Music visualizes things we cannot see.

I can see the jaws dropping now...

Amazing graphics...
Intense cinema scenes w/ voices...
and now sound effects added to your battles...

Oh it\'s gonna be great!
