As for the PS2 being mass produced. If I\'m not mistaken. One of the hardware components for the PS2 had to be made in brand new factories and were very expensive. Now that the PS2 is selling, the chip costs is going down because of the large bulk it\'s selling in.
I don\'t know for sure, but I heard IBM has produced alot of stuff including these chips for the GC. They don\'t need new factories, the chip has been ordered in a huge bulk so to drive down costs.

this dummass thinks you can just make them in a garden shed !
Yeh i can just see it the CEO of Nintendo and his managers workin in their very own sweat shop which is infested with ROACHES, with nothing more in the world apart from the shirts on their backs.
P.S.
The fact that they have built factoryies is nothing to do with the price of the PS2 !
Oh maybe it\'s the fact that it can
play the PS2 games
DVD moives
and the SX games too boot.
plus you can\'t blame that for the "high" price of PS2, it due to the fact if they did release it at a low price they would face the same problems as explained above.
All companyes make a loss on there system to start of with it takes a long time to get established.
