I\'m downloading the movie now and I can\'t wait to see it. But based on what I\'ve read so far it seems as if this game along with other soon to be released AAA titles is trying to send a message to PS2 developers around the world and that is: "Think big and you get big" or "Dream your biggest dream and let the black box make it come true".
This is what developers have to do. They have to throw out everything they knew to be conventional(of course not everything, but at least to put their thinking into this frame of mind) because if they don\'t they\'re going to remain stagnant into a regressive mind state which has its origins in SNES, N64, Playstation one, etc.. type programming. Developers need to take risks and to continue to raise the bar. The sky is the limit with the PS2(at least so far). I like this statement made by one of the Baluder\'s Gate: Dark Alliance reps:
"We are developing the game from the ground up to take full advantage of the sophisticated PlayStation 2 technology," said Ryan Geithman, director of Snowblind Studios. "Our goal is to push the hardware to its limits, thus creating stunning environmental effects and highly detailed characters never before seen on the console."
Now that\'s the kind of attitude a person has got to have even before he or she envisions the next PS2 project. The developers have to take the PS2 hardware and tear it a new a**hole.
