I just read that since Gameshark 2 is on a boot disk it can play imported/burned games.  Is this the biggest load of crap or is it true and really cool?

yea that would be cool but i don\'t think it can but there is something out for the a DC thats lets you play imports - maybe they will release it for the PS2 also - i am sure they will eventually

Any import game would need it\'s own "enable" code to load BEFORE the game itself would load, and Interact (the makers of Gameshark) is in NO WAY going to list those codes.

The GS2 for the PS2 is NOT user "hackable" like the  GSPro for the PSX, so the only codes you will get will be from Interact, unless, and until, someone breaks the "encryption" code that the GS2 uses for it\'s hex based codes.

Pelican is going to be releasing their "Code Breaker" that supposedly allows users to "Make their own" codes. It\'s slated for a March 16th release, but Pelicans site is devoid of any real info. I think it\'s just vaporware at this point, but we\'ll see.

GS2 cannot play import originals, and can only play cdrs w/ a chip also. It\'s too big a hassle, and illegal to mad your system, so no to your q. GS2 can\'t do anything.

GameShark 2 CAN NOT play imports..go to GameShark Website..check the forum site..they even answered the question that the GS2 CAN NOT play imports...anyways the GS2 fits into the memory card slot

No, but I hang frequent mod chip sites/forums, were GS2 is currently a important part of using a recent chip. They\'ve tested every senerio, and you can\'t play original imports.. like i\'d waste $50 on a cheat device anyways... pfft!
