MGS to MGS2 what\'s the transition plot ?

Does anyone have a clue what it might be.
For now we just know Snake and Otacon joined
this anti Metalgear organisation, but what\'s
the gap between MGS and MGS2?
Wasn\'t Snake to live a happy and peacefull, new
\'purpose\', filled life with his dear Meryl in
Alaska ? Or... the second option, where Meryl
died, that Snake and Otacon each set their new
life ?
If Kojima picks it up from the first version
( I guess most a y\'all weren\'t too lazy in the
torture room, pushed the o button and played
\'til the happy end, right ? ), I wonder how
he gets Snake to leave that good life with Meryl ?
Would she become a victim of the terrorists again ?
Or does their relationship strand and she disappears
out of the plot ?

I believe that Meryl is dead, and Snake has been living a lonely life regreting the death of Meryl.  That is why Snake looks much older and rundown in this version.

version where she died in MGS ?
If she died after MGS that must have been really
sad for Snake. Ooh man I can feel the good \'ol

heheh ya she died in MGS.  Damn you Ocelot! Damn YOU!!!

Snake will get his revenge on that pig Ocelot.  I can\'t wait to hurt him bad in MGS2! :)

how in gods name can you guys think this stuff up lmao, you makeing snakes life as if it was real or something, what if its supposed to start over like mgs never happened, and it was a completely new mission, what then huh, he looks run dun cause he smokes and thats the way they made him look in the first 1 but seeing as how it was 32. bit couldnt give it the effect, what then???

Well I think that it will continue the plot of MGS.  No one will know how the plot is until we play the game.  So all we can do is guess at what is going to happen. :)

I always wondered what happened to Meryl. Why isn\'t she in MGS2? Why isn\'t she in MGS for GameBoy? Only time will tell...

Like in the Tekken series, there were multiple endings that lead to different outcomes, but to build a solid storyline between the games, some of these must be discarded.

Considering Snake\'s chatting with Otacon on the tanker, we can draw the conclusion that Meryl\'s dead, cold body\'s still rotting somewhere in Alaska.

After the happenings of MGS, the metal gear blueprints were somehow spread around the world to various organizations and such. The MG Ray in the tanker, is a Metal Gear epogine designed to fight the illegal ones developed around the world by these various teams with bad things in their to-do lists (according to what I remember reading somewhere). Mostly it\'s still unclear what\'s actually going on or is gonna happen. Thank god for that. I don\'t want to ruin the whole game for myself. At least I want to know nothing about the New York section of the game. I want to be dumbstruck :)

i think my Girlfirend is a little sick , because everytime i play MGS and Meryl gets shot by Sniper wolf she :laughing: her head off.

hey it could be that Ocelot, who said he was keeping an eye on them at the end of MGS, want after Meryl for revenge !

or something like that..

oh well we will soon find out :D.

She was just being jealous, and was glad meryl was shot so she can have snake for herself!

Wasn\'t Ocelots shooting hand sliced off....even if he got a prostectic hand he still wouldn\'t be able to shoot as fast
